Director of Marketing

& Partner

   Brian Uchtmann, J.D., is a registered P.E. in Wisconsin with over 19 years of technical experience. He currently focuses on designing and evaluating utility energy efficiency programs, developing end user solutions, and supporting utilities, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies by providing expert analysis and audit services related to energy savings, end-user cost-of-service, and economic analysis of non-wire/non-pipe transmission and distribution alternatives.  

Brian brings a unique set of skills to the task at hand. In the past he has worked on skilled teams to provide audit and technical support to regulatory staff in Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, and Vermont. He has worked as an engineer optimizing chemical systems in the automotive sector, served as a law clerk for the Michigan Public Service Commission, reviewed hundreds of complex energy and infrastructure projects across the country, and provided training to utility staff across the United States and Canada related to utility energy efficiency program design and compliance. Brian graduated with a J.D. degree from Michigan State College of Law and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois.

Director of Operations

& Partner

 John is a registered P.E. in Wisconsin and Minnesota with 18 years of engineering experience in energy efficiency and sustainability fields. His work has given him experience in disaggregating energy usage for residential, commercial, and industrial customers into their usage categories and identifying energy efficiency opportunities including water savings and greenhouse gas emissions reductions. This work has included energy audits, feasibility studies, large research studies, and managing electric and gas utility evaluation programs. Through these experiences he has learned and understands the importance of solid engineering work, proactive project management, and inclusive stake holder meetings. John graduated with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  

Director of Utility Energy Program Services

& Partner 

Ryan is a registered P.E in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan and has 24 years of engineering experience, with more than 20 years in energy efficiency and utility programs. Ryan has managed utility evaluations and verification projects for efficiency programs run by over 50 different utilities in 18 different states and two Canadian provinces.  In this role he has completed and overseen detailed energy, economic and emission analysis and presented the results in an impactful way meeting the needs of all stakeholders. In addition, he has completed economic, and emissions analyses for technologies. Ryan graduated with a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dordt College.  

Director of Customer Energy Solutions

Harshil is a Senior Engineer with Driftless Energy with 10 years of experience developing energy efficiency and decarbonization strategies for industrial, commercial, and multifamily facilities. He  leads the Customer Energy Solutions department for industrial and commercial clients.

He brings technical expertise in evaluating plant utility consumption and manufacturing processes to uncover performance and reliability improvements, deep system retrofits, and lower energy costs. Harshil has supported utility energy efficiency programs across United States as a technical lead. His experience includes developing custom Strategic Energy Management frameworks and cultivating long-term engagements with clients to deliver implementation-ready energy, and decarbonization plans. He also brings experience with implementing compliance pathways for state / local energy efficiency ordinances and decarbonization roadmaps for equity-priority multifamily and commercial buildings.

Harshil holds a Master of Engineering degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

Senior Engineer

 Will is a registered P.E. in MN and has 7 years of engineering experience including 4 in energy efficiency. He conducts comprehensive energy audits across commercial and industrial facilities, executes utility studies to collect high-value data, and evaluates utility companies’ efficiency programs. His diverse project experience offers unique insights into how energy is used as a resource across multiple levels—and how organizations can maximize the value of efficiency. Before transitioning to the energy sector, Will worked in the defense industry on complex mechanical systems, providing a strong foundation for analyzing intricate energy systems. Will holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate in Engineering Thermal Energy Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

Energy Engineer

 Bridget is an energy engineer with 5 years of experience in the energy efficiency industry. She has completed work on commercial, residential, and industrial evaluations and collected data for residential studies. She is also certified from the Building Performance Institute in Infiltration and Duct Leakage and has completed over 100 blower door tests and over 50 duct leakage tests. Bridget also develops and maintains Python and other programming tools to quickly extract information from large data sets. She implements her onsite experience and data analysis background to efficiently evaluate utility rebate programs for multiple sectors including multi-family residential new construction. Bridget graduated with a B.S. degree in Engineering with a Mechanical Emphasis from Calvin University. 

Senior Engineer

  Chuck has over 40 years of engineering experience, including 19 years in the energy efficiency industry. He has completed economic analyses to determine life cycle costs and savings; energy analyses to determine potential energy saving and energy cost saving projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings; and measurement and verification of energy efficiency projects with metering and calculation review. Chuck has supported impact evaluations through project file reviews, onsite investigations, and customer interviews. Chuck graduated with a B.S and M.S. in mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
